Kadence — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Kadence ("the app," "we," "us") is a habit tracker for iPhone. We built Kadence to be private by default. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.
The short version
Your habit data stays on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't run ads, we don't track you, and we don't sell or share your personal information. The only data leaving your device is what Apple and our payments provider need to process a subscription.
What Kadence stores
- Your habits, check-ins, streaks, notes, categories, reminders, and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to any server, and we cannot see it.
- Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We don't receive them.
- The home and lock screen widgets read your data through a private, on-device app group. It never leaves your device.
Subscriptions and payments
Kadence Pro is an optional subscription. To offer and validate it, we use two third parties:
- Apple processes all payments through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status on our behalf. To do this it assigns your app an anonymous ID and processes purchase and device information (for example, whether a subscription is active). It does not receive your name, email, or habit data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
What we do NOT do
- No user accounts or logins.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the Kadence app removes it. You can also export a backup file from the app's settings at any time.
Children
Kadence is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
